Each `employments` entry is a complete Employee object in a credential-authorized company, including top-level `participation` and `coverage`. Person-level demographics or statuses are not selected; those values stay within each employment. Person `updatedAt` does not track nested employment changes. Repeating `externalIdSystems` selects returned IDs from `payroll_system` or `hhaexchange`. An unsupported external ID system returns `400 invalid_input` with a message naming the value.
